Authentic Movement (AM) is a simple and profound movement meditation practice. It is a self-directed practice that invites movers to track their inner impulses (sensations, thoughts, feelings, and spontaneous imagery) to Move-- with eyes closed and in the presence of a witness. With the absence of sight and external music, this practice offers the opportunity for deep listening, organic sound and rhythm-making, and creative expression of our inner worlds. After the movement experience, the movers and witnesses engage in an integrative creative and verbal process.
